WASHINGTON: US leader Donald Trump on Friday announced a “peace deal” among Israel and Bahrain, making the latter the second Arab country to settle with its previous foe in the previous few weeks.
“Another HISTORIC breakthrough today! Our two GREAT friends Israel and the Kingdom of Bahrain agree to a calm Deal – the second Arab country to create tranquility with Israel in 30 days!” Trump tweet.
A combined US-Israel-Bahrain announcement said there would be “packed diplomatic relations.”
Bahrain has settled to celebrate the deal with Israel at a ceremony on September 15 at the White House, anywhere the United Arab Emirates will also symbol off on its own thaw with Israel announce in mid-August.
